Here's some tips and info to help prepare you for the Grief Hike and the Healn' the Heart Grief Retreat for this upcoming weekend. Our goal is to help keep you safe and prepared so that you can have the best experience possible.
The Grief Hike on Saturday, March 25th.
Who Can Attend.
All individuals can participate regardless of age or gender. Ant persons under 18 must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older.
Required Skill Level.
This hike is for beginner hikers and does not require advanced skill level to participate.
Location.
Please meet us at Wissahickon Valley Park in Philadelphia, specifically, the Valley Green Road Parking Lot at 10AM sharp.
Distance: 1.5 Miles
Updates and Notifications.
Please be sure to check your email close to the meeting time for updates/meeting location changes.
What to Bring.
Cellphone for Updates/Emergencies
Refillable Water Bottle
Comfortable layered clothes
Umbrella (check the weather)
Comfortable Shoes (Sneakers or Hiking Boots)
Light Snack
Yoga Mat/Blanket for halfway break
Knee Braces (if applicable)
Emergency Medications, Identifiers and Emergency Contact Information
Suggested.
Bring your camera phone to document your hike and share your healing journey with others!
Homework.
Write a letter to your loved one before the Grief Hike and bring it with you to meditate on or read out loud. Some writing prompts include: My List of Regrets, Things I Wish I Could Say to You, What You Really Meant to Me, Why I'm Angry You're Gone, etc. The goal is to be real with yourself about how you feel.

The Grief Retreat on Sunday, March 26th
Preparing Your Mind for Self-Care Sunday.
Please come to the retreat knowing that there is no proper way to grieve. We are all here to find community and familiarity with other people experiencing loss. We will respect all belief systems in our discussions and will not tolerate hatred or prejudice towards any belief systems, ideas, or groups of people. All woman-identifying and/or non-binary individuals are welcomed and celebrated.
Who Can Attend.
All woman or non-binary identifying individuals, 21 and up.
Tickets.
If you have RSVP'd but NOT purchased a ticket, you must do so to keep your spot. Access is first come, first served and we will not accept any fees at the venue nor will we "hold" any spots. You can complete your purchase here.
Location.
Soul Healn' Wellness Center at 106 Gay St. Philadelphia, PA 19127. We apologize for the inconvenience but the suite is not wheelchair accessible.
Parking.
Street and metered parking is available. Please plan ahead for Traffic/Parking delays.
